Hello! I'm Lucas Luwa, a senior at the
Georgia Institute of Technology
studying
Computer Science
with concentrations in
Intelligence and
Modeling-Simulation.
Additionally, my prior work experience involve a variety of engineering tasks.
Last summer, I worked at Green Hills Software
working on RTOS projects in accordance with DO-178C standard.
Previously, I've worked as an undergraduate researcher with the
Experimental Flights
software team under Senior Researcher
Michael Mayo
to help develop
drone systems capable of delivering small packages to students on campus. I've developed control systems and wrote code to
track and store packages in a series of password protected lockers. This semester, I'm leading the Disaster Relief Team
through the development of computer vision-enabled disaster relief drones.
I regularly get myself involved in organizations on campus and love making a positive impact in the community.
I'm currently the head teaching assistant for CS 1331, an introductory object oriented programming course taught in Java.
Additionally, I'm a Master Peer Instructor for 3D Printing and Prototyping at the
Hive Makerspace
where I help students turn their ideas into
a reality, train new Peer Instructors on how to help end users with 3D printing and maintain the condition of all machines.
Please take a moment to check out the
projects I've been working on,
